Mechanic designer and illustrator. Born in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo. After two years of experience as an assistant to Leiji Matsumoto, he became a mechanical designer on “Space Battleship Yamato 2” in 1978. Since then, he has worked on mechanical designs such as “Galaxy Express 999”, “Arcadia of My Youth” and “Queen Millennia”, and has become an indispensable presence in Matsumoto animation. He is also active in mechanical design such as the TV anime “Special Armored Battalion Dolback”. He has a transcendental relationship with Leiji Matsumoto.
